Vicksburg Family Development provides parenting education for first or second-time parents and their children. These services include prenatal classes, home visits, and a preschool education program to provide parents of children prenatal to age four with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to promote positive outcomes for both parent and child. A youth program works to prevent teen pregnancies, alcohol and drug abuse and school failure by promoting positive life choices.

In 2013 SmartTrack data, Warren County was ranked in the top 10 counties for excessive drinking. Risk factors represented by this data show a critical need for prevention services - especially for those children who experience these risk factors on a daily basis.
